Together at last, the Final Five won the CMA Awards red carpet

The Final Five just extended their winning streak on the CMA Awards red carpet.
The U.S. women's gymnastics team walked the carpet together Wednesday night, finally all in one place at an awards show after Gabby Douglas got stuck in the hospital and couldn't make it to the VMAs in August.
Laurie Hernandez and Gabby Douglas opted for cocktail dresses, Aly Raismanand Madison Kocian looked sweet in pink and blue, and Simone Biles stole the show in a slinky silver number.
Which is your favorite?
The five ladies also took the stage as the night's first presenters, awarding Thomas Rhettthe award for Single of the Year.
Because according to Kocian, "The CMA Awards is like country music's gold medal."

Watch Michael Phelps Crush Simone Biles and Aly Raisman on Lip Sync Battle

Phelps with another medal-worthy performance

Olivia Munn had a few secret weapons up her sleeve when she performed on Sunday’s Lip Sync Battle—Olympic gold medalists Simone Biles and Aly Raisman, who dominated the gymnastics competition at this year’s games. The athletes helped Team USA win big at the Rio Olympics and they also assisted Munn in a memorable version of Sia’s “Cheap Thrills” during a special episode.
Raisman and Biles weren’t the only Olympic gold medalists on theLip Sync Battle stage: gold medalist and world-renowned swimmer, Michael Phelps was already scheduled to appear on the show, which is what inspired Munn to bring in her back-up. “When I found out that Michael Phelps was joining our set, I said the only way to beat a gold medal champion is to bring two gold medal champions,” Munn told host LL Cool J. Watch their performance below.

While Munn and Team USA’s gymnasts delivered an impressive performance, they couldn’t stop the unstoppable force of Phelps with his game face on. At the end of the night the home audience gave the gold to Phelps. Here’s his medal-worthy performance of Eminem’s “Lose Yourself”:

Aly Raisman Named Captain of 2016 U.S. Olympic Women’s Gymnastics Team

Ready for Rio! Aly Raisman will captain the United States women’s gymnastics team for the second consecutive Summer Olympics.
USA Gymnastics revealed via Twitter on Saturday, July 23, that Raisman, 22, will lead fellow teammates Gabby DouglasSimone Biles,Madison Kocian and Laurie Hernandez at the 2016 competition in Rio de Janeiro next month.
Raisman previously led the U.S. women’s gymnastics team to win gold at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, where she took home three Olympic medals.
Since then, the athlete says she feels like a totally different person. “It feels like the [2012] Olympics were forever ago, but at the same time, I can’t believe it’s already almost been four years,” Raisman told Us Weekly in November 2015. “It’s really, really crazy. Time definitely flies but I definitely feel older and more mature and I’m really excited for the next few months.”
“It’s just amazing because she’s so strong,” Douglas, 20, told ABC News of the captain on July 11. “To have her just lead this team, we’ve been there, and for us to be back on this road together is just amazing and kind of different because we were on the same team and now we’re on the same team again. It’s just a special bond.”
Raisman is a four-time medalist at the world championships. She also finished as a runner-up — behind Biles, 19 — in the individual all-around earlier this year at the Pacific Rim Championships.
The Massachusetts native, who finished in fourth place on season 16 of Dancing With the Stars in 2013 with pro dance partner Mark Ballas, returned to gymnastics in March 2015 after an extended post-London break.
“Right now, I’m just really focused on being a good captain and also just making sure we do a good job in the team final,” Raisman told ABC News earlier this month.
The Rio Olympics begin August 5 and will be streamed live on NBCOlympics.com and on the NBC Sports app. The Rio Paralympics begin September 7 and will be streamed live on TeamUSA.org.

Watch Team USA Athletes, Including Aly Raisman and Ryan Lochte,Cut Loose And Dance!

“Ugh, you’re going to make me dance, but I get embarrassed!” gymnast Aly Raisman says in a new video showcasing the dance skills of Team USA star athletes.
Despite having competed onDancing With the Stars and doing quite well — she and partner Mark Ballas made it to the finals before coming in fourth place — Raisman seemed nervous before ultimately letting loose.
While the 22-year-old — who took home three medals at the London Games in 2012 — might have been worried, her fellow gymnast Danell Leyva was not. (Spoiler alert: The 2012 bronze medalist dances the Carlton!)
Swimmer Ryan Lochte, who has taken home 11 medals over three Olympics, had no qualms about showcasing his moves, and even recruited an unlikely partner — a mannequin — to dance with.
But perhaps no athlete let loose more than swimmer Matt Grevers. The six-time medalist will be sure to embarrass his first child — a daughter, due around Thanksgiving — with these moves one day.
“I like dancing!” he tells Us Weekly. “I just have these goofy dance moves! Because I’m so tall, people laugh. They’re like, ‘Wow, he’s kind of moving all right.’ It’s funny! That’s the extent of my dancing.”
The 6-foot-8 swimmer may get a chance to show off these moves one day.
“My wife [Annie] really wants me to try to get on Dancing With the Stars!” he says. “She’s a fan of the show and she thinks I’d be OK at it.”
To check out the dance moves of these athletes — and many more members of Team USA — watch the video below!

How to Eat Like an Olympian, According to Gymnastics Sensation Aly Raisman

How to Eat Like an Olympian, According to Gymnastics Sensation Aly Raisman
At just 17, Aly Raisman became a household name during the 2012 Summer Olympics as the captain of the U.S. Women's Gymnastics team, dubbed the Fierce Five. Raisman went on to become the most decorated American gymnast at the London Games after winning gold medals in the team and floor competitions, as well as a bronze medal on the balance beam.
Now 21, Raisman is gunning for a spot on the team for this summer’s Olympics in Rio, Brazil. The Massachusetts native has been gearing up for the games by training up to seven hours a day and serving as a face of #PBJ4TeamUSA, a partnership between Smucker’s and the U.S. Olympic Committee. Every time the aforementioned hashtag is used on Twitter, Smucker's will donate $1 to the U.S.O.C. in support of athletes training for the Games. “A lot of people don’t realize that Olympic athletes’ training isn’t funded by the government, so it can get really expensive, between traveling, paying for a trainer, and even maintaining a healthy diet. It adds up,” explains Raisman.
Below, the talented gymnast gives us the scoop on her pre- and post-competition routines.
How do you prep for a competition?
I like to take my time getting ready. I do my hair and makeup, which really relaxes me; it’s calming. We usually have roommates when we’re getting ready for a meet, so we’ll put on some upbeat music.
What do you eat to prepare for a meet?
It depends, because sometimes we’re out of the country, so we can’t have a specific meal each time. Usually I try to have carbs before the meet, like a banana and maybe some kind of whole-wheat toast, or granola with Greek yogurt and fruit—something that’s filling but will also give me enough energy throughout the competition, since the meets are typically at least two hours long.
And what about after the meet?
After the meet, the girls and I just want pizza or something! We worked hard so we want to splurge. And cheese is protein! People think carbs are the enemy, but when you work out, you need the carbs for energy. A few slices of pizza isn’t going to kill you.
What do you like to eat when you’re off-duty?
We don’t really have an off-season, but I always try to eat healthy. I’m always tired from training, and when I eat well, I feel better.
What’s on your playlist right now?
My teammates and I like Alessia Cara, especially her songs Wild ThingsScars to Your Beautiful, andOverdose. And we like Jason Derulo’s Try Me. The songs remind us of each other when we’re apart.
Favorite TV Show?
I love Gossip Girl.
What’s your PB&J style?
I’m an open-faced, crust-on girl. I like whole-wheat toast, and then I usually do peanut butter and strawberry jam on both sides. And I weirdly like the end piece of bread—it’s a different texture! It works out because no one else likes it, so I always get it.

Simone Biles and Aly Raisman have their own DIY spa day at training camp

Ahead of this weekend's Pacific Rim Championships, the U.S. women's gymnastics team is at training camp. And while the team members are pretty busy between practice sessions and collecting some new hardware from their world championship victory, it's not all work.
On Monday, Simone Biles and Aly Raisman decided to have a spa day. Or spa afternoon, anyway. The talented duo wasn't able to go to an actual spa, but they got their DIY on and had some fun from the confines of their dorm room.
You know what they say: The team that does facials together, slays together. Or something like that.
